Updated video: Learn how to cover up dark under eye circles without concealer or liquid foundation.
Wear your smokey eyeshadows and best black eyeliners with confidence because it will not darken your under eyes. This is a great video to watch especially if you have mature skin and concerns about fine lines & wrinkles. There is no creasing or feeling of “heavy” makeup under your eyes.
Few additional tips below (not mentioned in the video) for oily skin and to prevent creasing:
Try applying more primer. It’s the primer that keeps it from creasing and the type of primer you use makes a HUGE difference. The urban decay eyeshadow primer works the best on me. I have tried other primers (on my eyelids first) but they start creasing within a couple of hours or the makeup doesn’t look as vibrant. If the primer works well on your eyelids, then it will also work well on covering up your under eyes without creasing.
Avoid applying any creams or moisturizers directly under the eyes especially if you have oily skin. I apply the moisturizer on the face first, starting with areas that are dry (for me… this is the area around my mouth and chin). Then whatever is left on my hands is applied to my eyes.
Use an oil blotting paper after you apply the moisturizer to remove any excess oils. Then apply the primer. Give the primer about a min to set then move on to the next step.
Less is more when it comes to makeup. If you notice that it’s creasing, then next time use less product.
Buff it out! Use gentle strokes with the brush when you apply the makeup to slightly buff it out instead of stippling/tapping with the brush. Stippling will pack more product under your eye. There will be less product under your eyes with buffing and it will help to reduce/eliminate any creasing.
With all my love
