I love jewelry! Let me rephrase that…. I absolutely love each and every piece in my jewelry collection. The “bling” makes me feel like I’m waking up to rays of sunshine without any worries about cloudy days.
Also, jewelry doesn’t judge you like clothes. It makes you feel beautiful just the way you are because it’s one size fits all.
Given that, you can imagine my frustration of being allergic to some metals… especially nickel, lead and even silver (depending on how long I wear it).
With this in mind, I’m really good about avoiding highly allergic pieces, but there are occasions (like at Indian events) when a jewelry piece goes so perfectly with an outfit.
For such occasions the temptation to wear that piece is strong. Of course, I justify it in my head that I’m only wearing it for a few hours so maybe my skin won’t react. Yes! YES! I know that’s a terrible justification.
The answer is that it doesn’t.
That's because I've figured out a way to manage my jewelry allergy to metals without having to pop Benadryl pills like its candy.
Here are two (non-drugged up) solutions that I use to help manage my jewelry allergy.
Option 1: Use clear nail polish.
Option 2: Lip balm.
Check out this short video for all the details.
By the way, if you are looking for great statement necklaces & earring sets then check out the pics below. If you scroll down, I've added some of my favorite items. These are really great stand out pieces and the quality is amazing.
With all my love
